Hey guys. I know I promised you that I would get a chapter out on the holiday weekend but I actually couldn’t because I started back up in college soon after. It’s been real hectic because they keep dropping me from my class for nonpayment even though financial aid should cover it. So I’ve been spending all of my time calling these people trying to figure out what the hell is going on. That and the fact that I’m trying to find a job but no one wants to hire an inexperienced college student.
I’m actually in the process of writing the next chapter in a word document and I honestly think I have slight writer’s block. It’s like when I get ideas for the chapter and sit down to write, it won’t fit at all and I’m back to square one. Normally when this happens I listen to music to supply my brain with creativity but it’s not working this time. The part I’m trying to write about is Jasmine’s backstory, at least a small snippet of it, and I think that’s the problem. It might be easier to write someone else’s backstory first and then do hers or to just skip their backstories all together and get on with the story.
Let me know what you guys think, should I do Jasmine’s, Genesis’s, the Twins, etc’s backstories or should I move on with the story? Feedback would be greatly appreciated because I swear this is going to cause my brain to explode xD.
I say move on with the story for a chapter and then post a backstory! Especially if you have writer’s block, you might just need to switch to something else for a little while 😀
Yeah I might just, I was asking my boyfriend and he said that too lol so I think I’m going to be doing that. It might even work out better for the cohesiveness for this gen xD
Sometimes it takes awhile to obtain inspiration back. I say don’t rush it and let it come to you. School is more important anyway. I start back up in March myself, so I know how hectic it can get. Take your time and we’ll still be here. 🙂
That’s exactly what I’m doing. Taking my time writing at least a sentence or two. Good to know that I have faithful readers 🙂
That’s good! I’ve seen people stress themselves out trying to get a post out and then they end up losing interest because they took on too much at a time. I’ve noticed pacing yourself is much better for the mind, haha. Even though I may not post much, I’m still reading your story. A silent reader as you will. 😉 Love your story!
Don’t worry about it taking long for the chapter to come out. Your education and getting that sorted out is much more important at the moment. If you have writers block I agree with with the others about just moving on with the story and you can do the back stories later, especially if they are going to be very in depth. That way you can take your time to get them how you want.
You have a point there and I agree. Moving on with the story is my next priority after getting my school stuff worked out. Thanks 🙂
No prob. I hope it’ll all sort itself out smoothly for you soon so we can have another chapter. have a good weekend.
